I got mine to work this morning.

1. Add a contact in your iOS contacts with the phone number 1008000XXXX where the XXXX is the 4 digit number for your Ubi. Your device ID is what shows up in the URL when you click on the Room on the Ubi Portal.
e.g. https://portal.theubi.com/room/<ubi-device-id>

2. Then go into UbiSpeak and start a conversation with the contact you just added. Instead of hitting the mic button, hit the keyboard.
Type "login" with no quotes and send.
It will reply back.
Send it the following (and here's where I had major confusion last night): -u:XXXXXXXXXXX@whatever.com -p:%@&#&%&@^^#$%
I kept typing in the <> characters on either side of my username and password and it failed every time.

3. You'll get a reply if you did it right about the current mode.

4. Press on the microphone icon and speak. It should play at your Ubi a few seconds later. (I haven't tried it yet, so I can't validate that it works)

Once I solved the username/password issue, it worked like a charm (except that it crashes every time I send a text). Hopefully that helps, but once I get out to my phone I can upload screenshots if you need it.

Thanks alpha testers! (beta might be a stretch). Have gone through 8 builds in the past week.

So should I uninstall and re install and the crashing may stop?

Can someone please post the 4 mode options? My app won't load anything past what's currently loaded so I can't see the text I received when I initially connected my Ubi. Thanks!

Edit: might want to make that part of the app, too.

I already sent feedback on the loading issue via Testflight. I don't want to send again unless you want me to specifically.

No worries then... we have it. We're looking at making these instructions clearer. Should be another build soon.

Send me a note at leor@ the ubi if interested.

Hi Leor-

I'm VERY much interested in the iPhone app and would be more than happy to work with the beta team if there is still room.

Thanks.

Sure thing - just send me a note and I should be able to get you up and running with Testflight.
