We're really excited to tell you that you can now do hundreds or possibly THOUSANDS of things with your Ubi.
Today, we officially launch the Ubi Channel on IFTTT (If This Then That). If you haven't opened an IFTTT account, we suggest you head there now at ifttt.com. If you aren't familiar with IFTTT, its a handy tool for connecting the web apps (e.g. Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, dropbox, etc) you use, with each other through conditional statements which they call recipes. For example, you can create a recipe that will send you an iOS notification every time a specific user you pick tweets.
IFTTT has easy connections with dozens of different services and devices. Now, you can use your Ubi to trigger these services OR get the Ubi to announce to you different events that are happening online.
We've been testing out this feature and it's been great to listen as tweets come in, warn our families of our imminent arrival, find our phones when they're misplaced in the sofa, and MANY other cool applications. We've embedded a few ideas at the bottom of this email.
Check out out https://ifttt.com/ubi to get started on building recipes with the Ubi.
So how do I get a free Ubi?
We're going to give out a FREE Ubi to the first person to publish 10 recipes on IFTTT using their Ubi.
1. Activate the Ubi Channel on IFTTT
2. Create and publish 10 recipes
3. Send us a screenshot and a link to your public channel at firstname.lastname@example.org
4. Get an Ubi if you're the first one to do this.
We also have prizes for second and third place, but hurry to get in on this!
We'll have more updates for you soon but this is one of our most exciting updates since our launch out of beta.
